the film exhibition business in Bhilwara. Under the able
management of Mr. Shyam Sunder Mukhija, MD, Navlok
Exhibitors Private Limited has scaled the height of success
in its nearly 36 years of existence.
In 1977, the company started a cinema hall,Shri Jaswant,
which went on to become Bhilwara’s best. After three

movie-goers, the Board of Directors downed the shutters
of the theatre in the wake of the popularity of video and
television.
Taking a decision to diversify into the domain of lifestyle
and retail, Navlok Exhibitors has launched City Centre,
a shopping mall to be constructed on the land where
the theatre once stood.
DONNING A MODERN FACE...
BHILWARA’S CITYSCAPE IS UNDERGOING A TRANSFORMATION. WITH CORPORATE HIGH-RISES
DOMINATING THE SKYLINE, INDIA’S TEXITLE CITY IS
SET TO BECOME A HUB OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
Tucked away in the desert state of Rajasthan and bound by its more illustrious neighbours such as
Udaipur, Ajmer and Chittorgarh – Bhilwara is India’s Textile City, with a flourishing industry that
accounts for a turnover of nearly Rs 12,000 crore. Also home to the Mineral and Stone industry, the
city’s industrial contribution to the country is undisputed. Much of its development potential, however,
has remained untapped, until recently.
India’s Textile City is currently poised at the threshold of a fascinating period in its growth. A frontrunner
for economic development, Bhilwara is being considered as a viable investment destination by several
corporate houses and investors.
